Last year Books on the Move launched its very first writing residency for a choreographic artist and invited Volmir Cordeiro.<br \/>\nThis year, the residency, still in collaboration with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.villavalmont.com\/enora-riviere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Villa Valmont<\/a><\/strong>, welcomes Enora Rivi\u00e8re, dancer, choreographer, author and audio describer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Enora Rivi\u00e8re\u2019s work<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>is as much literary as it is choreographic. After writing \u00ab\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksonthemove.fr\/en\/produit\/ob-scene-recit-fictif-dune-vie-de-danseur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ob.sc\u00e8ne<\/a><\/strong>, r\u00e9cit fictif d\u2019une vie de danseur\u00a0\u00bb (published by the Centre national de la danse, 2015) et \u00ab\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksonthemove.fr\/en\/produit\/motors-a-rite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moteurs \u2013 un sacre<\/a><\/strong> \u00bb (also published by the CN D, 2024), she embarks on a new writing project \u00ab Les doigts invisibles \u00bb in relation to her piece \u00ab Manifestement \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab My writings attempt to share with a wide audience what moves dancers, what the artworks demand, and what it means to choose dance as a profession. They seek to create through words other possible traces, other possible lives for dance movement\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The residency also includes an outreach program led by Books on the Move and the artist. This year, the program will focus on audio description for dance and will invite a group of blind and visually impaired people from the organisation UNADEV (National union for blind and visually impaired people) in Bordeaux. They will be invited at different moments of Enora\u2019s residency.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The residency will start by a talk\/reading session at Books on the Move\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday October 28 \u2013 7p.m.<\/strong><br \/>\nBooks on the Move Encounter<br \/>\n<strong>A thousand and one writing practices &#8211; Enora Rivi\u00e8re<\/strong><br \/>\nEnora<b>\u00a0<\/b>invites you to a discussion and reading session around her various writing practices, ranging from text-based writing to choreography, criticism, and audio description for dance. How do these writing practices mingle with one another? How have they influenced and nurtured her artistic path?
