Depuis 40 ans, la Biennale de danse du Val-de-Marne contribue activement \u00e0 l\u2019essor de la danse contemporaine en France.
\nCon\u00e7ue en 1979 par le chor\u00e9graphe Michel Caserta, avec l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019ouvrir un espace de libert\u00e9 aux nouveaux courants de la danse, elle a diffus\u00e9 et produit les \u0153uvres de plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de chor\u00e9graphes.
\nLa Briqueterie \u00e0 Vitry-sur-Seine, ancienne usine r\u00e9habilit\u00e9e, ouverte en 2013, est devenue le si\u00e8ge de la manifestation et Centre de D\u00e9veloppement Chor\u00e9graphique National. Son directeur, Daniel Favier, continue de d\u00e9velopper la Biennale de danse, toujours nomade, sur le territoire francilien et \u00e0 l\u2019international.
\nDans ce livre, Ir\u00e8ne Filiberti revient sur l\u2019origine et les enjeux artistiques de la Biennale, retrace son \u00e9volution, et montre la place essentielle qu\u2019elle a prise dans le paysage chor\u00e9graphique. Sans pr\u00e9tendre \u00e0 l\u2019exhaustivit\u00e9, ce livre privil\u00e9gie \u00e9galement le regard d\u2019un photographe, Laurent Philippe, qui en a suivi toutes les \u00e9tapes, et donne \u00e0 voir ses temps forts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
