A l\u2019\u00e2ge de l\u2019Anthropoc\u00e8ne, o\u00f9 les humains se donnent en temps r\u00e9el le triple r\u00f4le d\u2019agents, de t\u00e9moins et d\u2019historiens des interactions du climat, du vivant et de la g\u00e9ologie, la cat\u00e9gorie \u00e9pist\u00e9mologique trop humaine du \u00ab global \u00bb conna\u00eet \u00e0 la fois son apoth\u00e9ose et le d\u00e9but de son d\u00e9clin au profit du \u00ab plan\u00e9taire \u00bb. Certes, les deux cat\u00e9gories sont loin d\u2019\u00eatre incompatibles, et ce qu\u2019Anna Tsing a appel\u00e9 avec malice \u00ab le charisme du global \u00bb exerce son efficace plus que jamais dans les sciences humaines, ainsi qu\u2019en t\u00e9moigne la reconnaissance dont jouit cette notion dans les institutions occidentales et quelques publications passionnantes chroniqu\u00e9es dans ce num\u00e9ro de <em>Critique d\u2019art<\/em>. Mais ce \u00ab charisme \u00bb est infl\u00e9chi, voire fissur\u00e9 par des nouveaux questionnements qui travaillent actuellement savoirs, discours et pratiques artistiques et, bien s\u00fbr, la parole politique. Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, figure pionni\u00e8re de la pens\u00e9e f\u00e9ministe postcoloniale, fait ainsi la part entre le \u00ab globe \u00bb, qui se situe \u00ab dans nos ordinateurs \u00bb et ne peut, en tant que tel, \u00eatre \u00ab v\u00e9cu \u00bb, et la \u00ab plan\u00e8te \u00bb, alt\u00e9rit\u00e9 radicale vivante et habitable, mais seulement \u00e0 cr\u00e9dit, susceptible d\u2019englober \u00ab une taxinomie in\u00e9puisable de noms d\u2019alt\u00e9rit\u00e9s humaines \u00bb[3]. \u00ab Le global r\u00e9v\u00e8le aux humains le domaine du plan\u00e9taire \u00bb, dialectise \u00e0 son tour Dipesh Chakrabarty [\u2026]\/<\/p>\n<p>Are we in the process of already freeing ourselves from the grip of the \u201cglobal\u201d? In the Anthropocene age, when human beings are casting themselves, in real time, in the triple role of agents, witnesses and historians of the interactions of climate, living world and geology, the epistemological \u201ctoo human\u201d category of the \u201cglobal\u201d is experiencing both its apotheosis and the beginning of its decline, in favour of the \u201cplanetary\u201d. To be sure, the two categories are far from being incompatible, and what Anna Tsing has mischievously called \u201cthe charisma of the global\u201d is brandishing its effectiveness more than ever in the human sciences, as is illustrated by the recognition this notion is enjoying in western institutions and in one or two extremely interesting publications reported in this issue of <em>Critique d\u2019art<\/em>. But this \u201ccharisma\u201d is qualified, not to say flawed, by new questions which are currently exercising knowledge, discourse and art praxis and, needless to add, the political word.
