Les auteurs y proposent une critique du capitalisme racial et de ses outils, ainsi que des modes d&#8217;exp\u00e9rimentation sociale en r\u00e9sistance au colonial. La recherche passe par l&#8217;\u00e9tude et se d\u00e9roule bien au-del\u00e0 de l&#8217;universit\u00e9, au travail, lors d&#8217;une pause cigarette, en famille, autour d&#8217;un repas, \u00e0 la lisi\u00e8re de la lutte et de la fuite, \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur d&#8217;un mouvement de tremblement des fondations imp\u00e9rialistes, d&#8217;un mouvement de refus des termes du combat tel qu&#8217;il est impos\u00e9, vers la construction d&#8217;un espace social et politique en perp\u00e9tuel d\u00e9placement. Le lieu et l&#8217;\u00eatre sous-communs rel\u00e8vent de l&#8217;incertitude de la cr\u00e9ation collective, de l&#8217;habitation par l&#8217;\u00e9change, de l&#8217;improvisation comme critique.<br \/>\n<em>Les sous-communs<\/em> s&#8217;\u00e9crit dans le sillage de la tradition radicale noire de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 la fois th\u00e9orique et po\u00e9tique, aupr\u00e8s d&#8217;auteurices comme Cedric Robinson, Saidiya Hartman, \u00c9douard Glissant ou Frantz Fanon. Cette \u00e9dition, accompagn\u00e9e d&#8217;une pr\u00e9face de Jack Halberstam, est le fruit d&#8217;un travail collectif de traduction men\u00e9 lors d&#8217;ateliers durant un peu plus de deux ans.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Y a-t-il une fa\u00e7on d&#8217;\u00eatre intellectuelle qui n&#8217;est pas sociale ? Quand je pense \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont nous utilisons le mot &#8220;\u00e9tude&#8221;, je crois que nous sommes attach\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;id\u00e9e que l&#8217;\u00e9tude est ce qu&#8217;on fait avec d&#8217;autres. C&#8217;est parler et se balader avec des gens, travailler, danser, souffrir \u2013 une irr\u00e9ductible convergence des trois, contenus dans l&#8217;expression pratique sp\u00e9culative. Il y a l&#8217;id\u00e9e d&#8217;une r\u00e9p\u00e9tition \u2013 \u00eatre dans un genre d&#8217;atelier, jouer dans un groupe, en impro, des vieux assis devant chez eux, ou des gens qui travaillent ensemble \u00e0 l&#8217;usine\u2026 ces diff\u00e9rents modes d&#8217;activit\u00e9. (\u2026) Faire ces choses signifie \u00eatre impliqu\u00e9\u00b7e dans une sorte de pratique intellectuelle commune.
