{"id":35219,"date":"2022-10-14T23:41:20","date_gmt":"2022-10-14T21:41:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.booksonthemove.fr\/produit\/walking-from-scores\/"},"modified":"2025-03-25T22:56:18","modified_gmt":"2025-03-25T21:56:18","slug":"walking-from-scores","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.booksonthemove.fr\/en\/produit\/walking-from-scores\/","title":{"rendered":"Walking from Scores"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"accroche\">Une anthologie de partitions verbales et graphiques \u00e0 utiliser en marchant, depuis Fluxus jusqu&#8217;au \u0153uvres critiques d&#8217;artistes actuels, en passant par la tradition des musiques exp\u00e9rimentales et la performance, r\u00e9unies et pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es par Elena Biserna.<\/div>\n<div class=\"citation\"><em>Walking from Scores <\/em>est une collection d&#8217;une centaine de protocoles, instructions, partitions textuelles et graphiques non <em>site-specific<\/em> centr\u00e9s sur la marche, l&#8217;\u00e9coute et la production sonore dans l&#8217;espace urbain.<br \/>\nLa collection explore la relation entre l&#8217;art et le quotidien, les dynamiques du son et de l&#8217;\u00e9coute dans divers milieux, mais aussi la fronti\u00e8re (poreuse) entre artiste et public, \u00e0 partir de deux pr\u00e9misses : un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la marche envisag\u00e9e comme pratique et tactique relationnelle nous permettant de lire et de r\u00e9-\u00e9crire l&#8217;espace ; une interpr\u00e9tation de partitions comprises comme invitations ouvertes et catalyseurs d&#8217;actions, \u00e0 l&#8217;instar de la tradition des <em>event scores<\/em> Fluxus.<br \/>\nCette collection s&#8217;est constitu\u00e9e pas \u00e0 pas, au fil des ans et d&#8217;\u00e9changes avec des artistes. Elle r\u00e9unit \u00e0 ce jour les contributions de plus de soixante artistes et collectifs travaillant dans les domaines de la musique, de la litt\u00e9rature, des arts visuels, de la performance, de la danse et de l&#8217;activisme, des ann\u00e9es 1960 \u00e0 nos jours. Certain\u00b7es artistes sont li\u00e9\u00b7es \u00e0 Fluxus (Alison Knowles, Nam June Paik, Yoko Ono, Dick Higgins, Milan Kn\u00ed\u017e\u00e1k&#8230;), au Scratch Orchestra ou \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne exp\u00e9rimentale britannique (Cornelius Cardew, Michael Parsons, Christopher Hobbs) ; d&#8217;autres ont commenc\u00e9 leur carri\u00e8re dans les ann\u00e9es 1960 (Esther Ferrer, Simone Forti, Pauline Oliveros, Max Neuhaus, Anna et Lawrence Halprin, Alvin Lucier, Giuseppe Chiari, etc.)\u00a0; d&#8217;autres encore sont des artistes des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations suivantes (G. Douglas Barrett, Ligia Lewis, Viv Corringham, Franziska Windisch, Seth Cluett, Bill Dietz, Haytham El-Wardany, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Giller, etc.) et parfois des collectifs (Blank Noise, Ultra-red, Standards, OpenCity).<\/div>\n<div class=\"note\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"accroche\">An anthology of text and graphic scores to be used while walking, from Fluxus to the critical works of current artists, through the tradition of experimental musicand performance, gathered and presented by Elena Biserna.<\/div>\n<div class=\"citation\"><em>Walking from Scores<\/em> is a hundred or so collection of non site-specific protocols, instructions and textual and graphic scores centred on walking, listening and playing sound in urban environment. It explores the relationship between art and the everyday, the dynamics of sound and listening in various environments and the (porous) frontiers between artists and audiences. It starts with two premises: an interest in walking envisaged as a relational practice and tactic enabling us to read and rewrite space; an interpretation of scores understood as open invitations and catalysers of action in the tradition of Fluxus event scores.<\/div>\n<div class=\"note\">With scores and texts by Peter Ablinger, Milan Adam\u010diak, G.
