Rassemblant des films, des installations, des \u0153uvres sur papier et des performances issus de pr\u00e8s d’une d\u00e9cennie de collaboration entre les deux artistes et chor\u00e9graphes californiens, cette monographie para\u00eet \u00e0 l’occasion de la premi\u00e8re exposition du duo dans un mus\u00e9e, \u00e0 Carr\u00e9 d’art \u00e0 N\u00eemes.<\/div>\n
Gerard & Kelly \u2013\u00a0duo d’artistes issus du domaine de la chor\u00e9graphie\u00a0\u2013 ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 leur travail autour d’une s\u00e9rie de performances et de films dans lesquels ils examinent des projets architecturaux qui d\u00e9jouent les usages bourgeois et patriarcaux traditionnels, rendant visibles les histoires et situations des ic\u00f4nes qui nous entourent. Cette publication documente la premi\u00e8re exposition du duo au mus\u00e9e d’art contemporain de N\u00eemes, intitul\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re \u00e9vocatrice \u00ab\u00a0Ruines\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0: une pr\u00e9sentation d’installations vid\u00e9o, de sculptures, d’interventions in situ, de performances et d’\u0153uvres sur papier, avec un essai de l’historienne de l’art Miwon Kwon et une conversation entre Lou Forster et les artistes.<\/div>\n

Gerard & Kelly\u2014artists originating in the field of choreography\u2014have developed their work around a series of performances and films in which they examine architectural projects that thwart traditional bourgeois and patriarchal usage, making visible the unknown stories and situations of the icons that surround us. This book documents the duo’s first museum survey exhibition at Carr\u00e9 d’art\u2014Mus\u00e9e d’art contemporain de N\u00eemes, evocatively titled Ruins<\/em>: a presentation of video installations, sculptures, site-specific interventions, performance and works on paper.<\/div>\n
