Des textes in\u00e9dits sont consacr\u00e9s aux 22 artistes, r\u00e9dig\u00e9s par des auteur.ice.s actif.ive.s dans des mus\u00e9es, festivals, \u00e9coles d&#8217;art, des critiques ind\u00e9pendant.e.s ou des artistes.<br \/>\nLa manifestation biennale <em>Dance First Think Later<\/em> explore les terrains convergents entre danse, performance, arts visuels et images en mouvement. Arta Sperto, qui organise et produit l&#8217;exposition-festival et \u00e9dite le livre, d\u00e9veloppe une orientation transdisciplinaire qui mixe les m\u00e9canismes de fonctionnement des arts visuels et des arts vivants, et par-del\u00e0, les caract\u00e9ristiques respectives des mus\u00e9es\/centres d&#8217;art et des th\u00e9\u00e2tres\/festivals. Cette orientation est motiv\u00e9e par l&#8217;accompagnement d&#8217;artistes dont les pratiques transversales se heurtent au fonctionnement de la culture qui est encore majoritairement organis\u00e9 par domaine, que ce soit au niveau des politiques culturelles, des institutions, des financements ou des m\u00e9dias. En partant des \u0153uvres, le livre propose de nombreuses pistes de r\u00e9flexions sur des approche transversales des arts contemporains.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dance First Think Later &#8211; The Thinking Body between Dance and Visual<\/em> Arts follows on from the exhibition-festival <em>Dance First Think Later &#8211; An Encounter between Dance and Visual Arts<\/em>, presented in Geneva in summer 2020, documenting it with a wealth of iconography and enriching it with a critical, theoretical and historical perspective on the works and the project. Commissioned texts are devoted to the 22 artists, written by authors active in museums, festivals, art schools, independent critics and artists.<br \/>\nThe biennial event <em>Dance First Think Later<\/em> explores the converging fields between dance, performance, visual arts and moving images. Arta Sperto, which is organising and producing the exhibition-festival and publishing the book, is developing a cross-disciplinary approach that combines the operating mechanisms of the visual and performing arts, and the respective characteristics of museums\/art centres and theatres\/festivals. This approach is motivated by the need to support artists whose cross-disciplinary practices come up against the way in which culture is still largely organised by field, whether in terms of cultural policies, institutions, funding or the media.
