Aux alentours de 1830, le romantisme s\u2019impose sur les sc\u00e8nes th\u00e9\u00e2trales, en France et dans toute l\u2019Europe. Le ballet participe avec force \u00e0 cette r\u00e9volution esth\u00e9tique, son succ\u00e8s s\u2019accompagnant d\u2019une m\u00e9diatisation in\u00e9dite. S\u2019il fait na\u00eetre un imaginaire nouveau, il peine toutefois \u00e0 se dire pour lui-m\u00eame et, dans cette bataille po\u00e9tique, c\u2019est la danseuse, \u00e0 d\u00e9faut de la danse, qui devient l\u2019objet principal des repr\u00e9sentations. De l\u2019air ou de la terre, du Nord ou du Sud, la ballerine cristallise le dualisme de l\u2019imaginaire romantique. Elle se retrouve au c\u0153ur d\u2019une entreprise de l\u00e9gitimation et de moralisation de l\u2019art chor\u00e9graphique qui passe d\u00e9sormais par une mythographie. Pourtant, d\u2019autres discours r\u00e9v\u00e8lent a contrario les aberrations du corps dansant, tant\u00f4t source de rire tant\u00f4t source d\u2019effroi.<\/p>\n

L\u2019enjeu de ce p\u00e9riple \u00e0 travers les repr\u00e9sentations litt\u00e9raires et iconographiques est in fine de mettre au jour les \u00ab deux corps de la danse \u00bb : d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, le corps m\u00e9taphorique, magique et glorieux, que fa\u00e7onne la sc\u00e8ne romantique ; de l\u2019autre, le corps faillible et contraint qui en est la contrepartie in\u00e9vitable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
