SUMMARY

In 1995, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker opened the dance school P.A.R.T.S.. In the meantime, ten generations of dancers and choreographers have studied there, more than 350 students from through the world.
Today, many are prominent figures in the dance world.
For its twentieth anniversary, P.A.R.T.S. looks back. In this book, fifty former students are portrayed. Fifty individual stories about how dance came into their lives, what dance can mean, and how they give form to the art of dance.
An interview with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker precedes the portraits.
The book concludes with one hundred images of life at P.A.R.T.S., and lists of all the students, teachers and collaborators who have, over the past twenty years, contributed to making P.A.R.T.S. what it is today.
Photographs by Bart Grietens.
