DATES

Rencontre #20 Ecopolitiques de la danse

Wednesday May 31 – 7pm.
with Emma Bigé, philosopher, dancer.

«  There is in me movements that do not belong to me, and connect me to beings other than humans that are surrounding me. Ecology, as activism and as a field of study, teach us how to track them down”.

It’s been a long time since Books on the Move crosses path with Emma Bigé in Paris or elsewhere – her philosophical nap times at the CND, her writings on contact improvisation, her curatorial work on Steve Paxton’s exhibition and collective catalogue Steve Paxton : Drafting interior techniques.

On the occasion of her book launch Mouvementements – écopolitiques de la danse (ed.la Découverte) we invite her to discuss this “study of compost-humanist dances”, these dances welcoming movements other than humans’.

At Books on the Move, 43 rue des Douves, Bordeaux, France
