Under the title <Notation>, the issue integrates a wide range of textual, image and graphic content to explore questions related to the documentation, analysis, reconstruction and preservation of contemporary performance.
The content of <Notation> is strongly related to Inside Movement Knowledge, a two-year collaborative, interdisciplinary research project into contemporary choreographic and dance knowledge with partners from the AHK Dance Department, Emio Greco | PC, Utrecht University and the Dutch Institute for Media Art (NIMK), supported by RAAK, a funding scheme of the Foundation for Innovation Alliances.
<Notation> captures contributions by: Marion Bastien, Bertha Bermúdez, Maaike Bleeker, Aitana Cordero, Annet Dekker, Scott deLahunta, Jeroen Fabius, Lina Issa, Laura Karreman, Carla Montez Fernandes, Vivianne Rodrigues, Vivian van Saaze, John Taylor, Gaby Wijers, Chris Ziegler and Jos Zwaanenburg.
