RÉSUMÉ

This publication reflects on the challenges of collaboration and on the conditions for a practice of working with others within the international landscape of contemporary dance. This book is not a conclusion nor a manual which offers fully realised solutions. Nonetheless, it is a multipurpose space of exchange, of describing personal experiences, of unfolding recurrent problems, of raising questions and of suggesting practices that could potentially be relevant for the readers who find themselves in similar situations.

International Contemporary Dance Collective (iCoDaCo) is a reoccurring artist led intercultural exchange project within the landscape of contemporary dance, initiated in 2012 by Sweden based – ilDance.

In its 2018 – 2020 edition iCoDaCo involved artists, organisations, communities and audiences in Sweden, Wales, Poland, Hungary and Hong Kong.

The practice of exchange and sharing, which is precious in such multidimensional adventure, was opened to local communities and audiences to both observe and partake in throughout the project.

This publication is a collection of impressions, expressions and testimonies by but not limited to the artists, facilitators, audience members and public activities participants.
